In 2007, Miss Alaska decided to go it alone after a 12-year journey with various bands (Alaska, Poems For Laila etc). "There are some musical experiences and conceptions which cannot be realized in a band with 5 individuals...- so it is no surprise that I try to play all the instruments in my songs myself. That ain't no fun you might say,... but it is! Recording a song is like travelling on your own. And the result is a good travel guide."
Miss Alaska lives and works in Hamburg. Sometimes she's travelling around. Then she's frozen in one place again. She's been playing music ever since her early childhood and feels inspired by artists like Velvet Underground, Regina Spektor, Sigur Ros,The Notwist, Mum and Steve Reich.
After studying the violin, the piano and singing at the HfMT Hamburg, she's now working in music medicine, with the band "all of them witches" (i saw music), as DJ and she's writing songs for winter girls and and icecream-boys and things between.
